Christmas Card

This card I made for the My Pink Stamper contest - it actually is a slider card and the image cut comes from Winter Woodlands (very cute cart by the way!). The paper came from America Craft paper pack I've had for a couple of years now.

Yikes - its Been Awhile!!!

I realize its been over a month since my last post but with good reason! Between getting my kiddos off to school, going on a scrapbooking retreat, and then going to Scrapfest at Mall of America things have been a little busy!! So kids off to school has been a good thing! My retreat was a ton of fun and I got to teach a cricut class, which I think went over well. Scrapfest was beyond overwhelming!!! For starters it was HUGE and of course had some of the BIGGEST names there and in person! I got a lot of good ideas and got to play with a few new tools. However, I really didn't like standing in line for over an hour for 1 (yes one) make and take! The highlight of the day was seeing Tim Holtz in action though - very cool guy!!!

A Little Fun and for a Good Cause

I love it when I get to craft and I love it even more when my crafting can be used for a good cause. A couple of days ago I made up the 12x12 "Family" scrapbook page (its posted below) for my youngest daughter's book. I had some scraps left over and looking at the size of them I knew I wasn't going to be using them for pages. So instead I did up a card but this card but where its going has a twist! I'm going to put it in the pile of cards I'm going to donate for Operation Write Home. (I actually ended up doing 4 cards total with the scraps but this one was the coolest!)

This Operation Write Home collects handmade cards and sends them overseas to soldiers so they can have cards to send to there friends and families as a simple way to stay connect. If your interested in helping out this cause check out their website http://operationwritehome.org/

One of my Favorites!

This page is one of my favorites and is in my son's scouting scrapbook. My husband has a strong family tradition in scouting and awhile back my husband and son were able to participate a family member's eagle ceremony. The picture is of my husband with his cousins that are all Eagle scouts - I wanted to include it in my son's scrapbook to inspire him on his scouting journey. This has to be one of my favorite pages!! The paper is from the Scouting Paper pack from Company K - and the lettering I cut from my cricut! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to feed the fish!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Happy Friday!!!

A good friend of mine is a Creative Memories consultant and is hosting a scrapbooking retreat in a couple of weeks (which I totally excited to be attending!!!) I offer to do a class on the cricut with a project for those who sign up (hopefully a few people will decide to take my class!) This is the project I'll doing and will be using the new Creative Memories cricut cartridges for the designs on the balls.  The gold one is the one I did and the sliver one (which I think is very cool) was done by a friend of mine.

Scrapbooking Page

So this page came about because of the black accent on the side of the page. My favorite little scrapbooking store Rochester Scrapbooking Company has these wonderful rummage sale a couple times a year - and you better believe I'm usually the first in line. I found this black accent in a bag marked 10 cents - and it just called to me but it has spent the last couple of months floating around my desk and I haven't done anything with it. So when I sat down to scrapbook the goal was to use it in some way!!!

The paper is from the rummage sale, the letters were cut from my gypsy with the gypsy font, the sticker and velum accent are Creative Memories. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to feed the fish :)
